Progress towards the First World Summit of African descent ...

Dear friends:

As discussed in previous communications, the delegation of the International Coordinating Committee of the First World Summit of African descent who was participating in the World Social Forum held in Dakar, Senegal, from 6 to 11 February effect of year was met with greater solidarity and hospitality from the organizers, especially by the Executive Secretary of the FSM, the Government represented by officials of the Ministry of Culture, civil society organizations and people of Senegal. The Culture Ministry officials expressed your full support for the convening of the First World Summit of African Descent to be held in the city of La Ceiba, Honduras from 18 to 21 August 2011.

The First World Summit of African descent, is positioned in the Dakar 2011 World Social Forum, having been announced in the Official Program of 7 and 10 February also, the Delegation of the International Coordinating Committee had a tent properly registered and assigned by the Executive Secretary of the World Social Forum, we thank the Senegalese friends who helped with translation and logistics to facilitate our work.
